The next two years were an exciting, two-year honeymoon for us. We love traveling and this time helped create our identity as individuals and as a couple. We took full advantage of living in Europe. We tried to make the most of long weekends and the low-cost airlines that were just forming in Europe. To stay in touch with everyone back home we put together trip reports that we sent out via email. We described a bit of the history of our destination, gave a sense of what we did and our impressions of the place, and included some representative pictures (we didnt want to exceed our family and friends mailbox allowance). This ebook is a compilation of those emails, with very limited editing for clarity. While there are some narratives that cover our lives in and around Napoli, most of them deal with our travels around Europe. This is not a comprehensive travel guide, nor is it an accurate historical (or even contemporary) account. For that matter, its probably only relevant as an insight into what its like to live for a brief period of time in a country, far away from family and friends, with limited connectivity with them, and to travel as much as work would allow. But, we thought it might make an entertaining read for those who have dreamed of being ex-pats and traveling extensively.
